We received two versions of the current SATA generation: the MK4032GSX with 40 GB and the MX1032GSX with a whopping 100 GB. It's interesting to see that the 40 GB version offers the quicker access times and better I/O performance, while it is outperformed by the 100 GB version when it comes to data transfer rates.

In every day life, these difference may only be interesting if you plan to run the Toshiba drives in high-density server environments. Installed in a notebook, there is no noticeable difference between the two brothers.
