Sandra 2005's multimedia extension test shows the four-core Core 2 Extreme QX6850 with a similar lead of approximately 100% over the Core 2 Duo E6750 in its CPU multimedia extensions test.
Unlike PC Mark's memory bandwidth benchmark, Sandra 2005 memory bandwidth awards throughput first, followed by tight timings, regardless of any potential CPU advantage. In other words, the overclocked E6750's faster stable bus speed wins.
