The U10 has still not finished thumbing its nose at its 2- and 3-megapixel rivals. With a maximum score of 5/5, it is also the best of the five in the vignetting test. Brightness between edges and center changes no more than 6%, versus 20% for the Exilim and more than 10% for the 3-megapixels. It does not suffer any more from distortion (slight bulging in wide-angle) than the others.
Our verdict: an excellent Christmas present either to give or be given. You won't regret it!
