Benchmark Results: Power Consumption
Let’s look at the effective power consumption results, as these are probably very important for system integrators analyzing this CPU.
Voltage and clock speed are identical on the Core i5-750S and its regular counterpart, so there is no measurable difference on our test system.
At peak load, we measured a significant benefit in power consumption for the Core i5-750S. Clearly, the clock speed reduction has an effect, and you can expect the S-model to deliver quantifiable power savings.
