The new Xeon also still has Hyper Threading technology, whereby WindowsXP Professional or Windows Server recognizes four virtual processors.
In addition, with regard to the FSB clockspeed, Intel attaches great importance to the fact that the Hyper Threading introduced two years ago also profits from it: the bandwidth of the data bus of every virtual HT-CPU now amounts to 1.6 GB/s, instead of 1.05 GB/s.

bgd73 hey thanks for this. There is errors in the test, especially in memory speed of xeons, in fact, it is ridiculous. I am going for older 7525 chipset in CEB motherboard...these machines are just getting started. I be sure to go for HT. Thanks.Reply
