Drive Surface Temperature
It doesn’t come as a real surprise, but the result is still amazing: The VelociRaptor together with its IcePack installation and cooling frame keeps the new 2.5" SATA drive at an amazingly low 38°C surface temperature at room temperature and when operated on an open desk. Removing the IcePack voids your warranty and it increased the surface temperature by approximately 4 - 5°C.
