Nvidia has extended its SLI multi-GPU platform to support up to three GeForce graphics cards in one computer. The company claims that the updated technology provides up to 2.8x the performance of a single-GPU system, supporting resolution of 2560x1600 pixels at 60 frames per second and 8x anti-aliasing.
3-way SLI graphics is supported by a system consisting of the nForce 680 chipset and three GeForce 8800 GTX or GeForce 8800 Ultra graphics cards.
