Micron enters NAND Flash market, ships 2 Gbit 90 nm devices

The rapidly growing market for NAND Flash, a technology typically used for storage media such as Flash cards, continues to attract new manufacturers. Micron today announced that it is shipping 2 Gbit 90 nm devices into the segment and is the most recent competitor in a field that is dominated by Samsung, Toshiba (Spansion (AMD/Fujitsu), Intel, and ST Microelectronics.
Micron said that the modules are in volume production at this time. (THG)
