Japan-based Elpida Memory will increase its DRAM capacity to approximately 90,000 12" wafers per month, perhaps by the fourth quarter of 2007. Elpida will also boost its 90nm DDR2 production proportion to over 50 percent next quarter, according to Elpida Hong Kong president Toshiharu Namimatsu at a recent product launch held in Hong Kong.
