EKWB, a manufacturer of water cooling hardware, has announced its water blocks for the Asus R9 290X DirectCU II graphics card – the EK-FC R9-290X DCII.
This water block is built to cool all the critical components of the graphics card, including the GPU, memory and VRM circuitry. The block features a 0.6 mm microchannel structure over the GPU area for added heat transfer; it is built with the high-flow design in mind, allowing the block to be used in loops with weaker pumps or longer, more complex loops.
The block will be available in three versions: one with a clear acrylic top, another with an Acetal POM top, and the last with the original CSQ (circles) design on top. All of the blocks are built with a nickel-plated copper base.
