The Opto-Electronics Systems & Laboratories (OES) of the government-sponsored Industrial Technology Research Institute (ITRI), the developer of Taiwan's own DVD format FVD (forward versatile disc), on May 9 signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with US-based DPHI (DataPlay) for cooperation to developing miniaturized FVD (mini FVD) products.
