Intel Media SDK 2013 for Linux Servers Debuts at NAB 2013
Intel's Media SDK 2013 finally offers support for Linux on systems running 3rd generation Core Processors and the Intel Xeon E3-1285 Lv 2.

In
tel's Media SDK 2013 now has full support for Linux-based computers and offers developers the ability to "easily create high density, energy efficient datacenter and embedded media solutions." Also included in the release is support for hardware acceleration for video on the Intel Xeon E3-1285 Lv2 and 3rd Generation Intel Core processors with Linux operating systems.
The SDK is also advertised as offering simpler "development of enterprise media applications and improves video processing performance whilst reducing the complexities of accessing hardware acceleration."
