Scythe has launched a new budget keyboard and optimal mouse set that they’ve codenamed the SCY-2IN1-SILENT. The keyboard features 109 “quiet” membrane keys with a 19 mm pitch and 3.2 ± 0.5 mm keystroke length. The mouse has the standard three buttons (including a scroll wheel) with a BlueLED sensor and a 1000 dpi resolution.
The Scythe SCY-2IN1-SILENT will be on sale on July 10 in Japan for ¥ 1,980 (approximately $20).

lol when I want to play games and watch tv at the same time a silent keyboard and mouse are priceless to me, wife hates me tapping and clicking away, silent fans on the other hand dont interest me in the least. Two different extremes of the argument i guess >< -
John Goodman I like my keyboards to be really loud (I use Cherry MX Greens) but, to each his own.Reply
It's probably a really good value for 20 bucks. -
killerclick Scythe fans and coolers are great. I'd love to have a silent keyboard/mouse that don't click-clackReply -
AzureFlash How in the world is this news worthy? Everyone and their grandmothers can manufacture membrane keyboards and basic mice nowadays. Completely unremarkable.Reply -
vmem well, for $20, what did people expect?Reply
Also, why would scythe bother making a set of cheap keyboard/mice is my question
