AMD Confirms GDDR5 Memory For Next-gen Graphics Cards

AMD today said that its next graphics cards series will integrate GDDR5 memory. The higher data rates supported by GDDR5 - up to 5x that of GDDR3 and 4x that of GDDR4 - will enable more bandwidth over a narrower memory interface, which can translate into superior performance delivered from smaller, more cost-effective chips, AMD said.

With as much speed on their memory, hope their RV770 GPU and onboard Physics will follow these way on performance. For now it sound good!

I think we should have more bandwidth, then put the more on a wider bus....forget this twice as good so half the bus, lets go twice as good and twice the bus to 512 wide!
