It’s hard for any OLED gaming monitor to stand out from the pack because they’re all close in capabilities and performance. They are universally excellent for image quality thanks to their deep contrast and color accuracy. And they provide perfectly smooth motion for gaming that no LCD can match.
Though the Mobiuz EX271UZ is BenQ’s first OLED gaming monitor, it is by no means a version 1.0 product. It performed incredibly well in my tests, especially in the speed department, where it hung with the quickest 4K panels from companies that have far more experience with the technology.
It also matched the very best in picture quality with bright highlights, deep shadow detail and rich color. My only complaint there is that it defaults to an interpretive picture mode with some issues that can’t be calibrated away. But once I selected the fixed modes, Display P3 and sRGB, those problems disappeared. The EX271UZ is very accurate in those modes.
It stood out in a couple of areas. HDR brightness is adjustable, which is something few other monitors offer. But the biggest plus for me was its support for HDMI eARC. This is common in TVs but almost never seen on a monitor. It makes up for the lack of internal speakers by allowing connection to a sound bar, AV receiver, or sound processor, thereby keeping the audio signal digital. You won’t get better sound than when you couple the EX271UZ with a decent sound bar. It elevates the entertainment experience greatly.
At around $1,000, the EX271UZ is expensive but competitively priced. There’s no denying its positive qualities, and aside from some quirks during setup and calibration, it’s a stellar display. If you have the desire for a 4K OLED gaming monitor with extremely high performance and high pixel density, definitely check it out.

cknobman $1000 is a tough pill to swallow for this, so many better priced options up to half as expensive.Reply
And only HDR 400 for all that money?
Seems like this was really a 3/5 monitor.
