Why you can trust 3DTested
It is hard to overstate just how good OLED displays are. Once you go past 200 Hz, the combination of perfect motion resolution, unlimited dynamic range and rich color provides the best play experience currently available. Until we have content projected directly into our brains, or holodecks, it’s hard to imagine a better way to experience video games. And they’re great for productivity too, thanks to accurate color and razor-sharp imagery.
The Asus ROG Strix XG32UCWMG is a superlative example of the genre. Though I didn’t find much benefit to its 480 Hz mode, it provides an option that some will find useful. If you have enough graphics processing power, 240 Hz in 4K is a revelation.
The glossy screen is a serious value-add with optical benefits that cannot be ignored. Though I wished for Quantum Dot color, that screen made the most of the XG32UCWMG’s 100% coverage of DCI-P3. I can only imagine how much better it would be with QD technology. And I noted the usual Asus accuracy with no need for calibration. Once you consider the impeccable build quality and slick styling, this is a display that, once you see it, you’ll want it.

-Fran- Now we just need to slap these into VR HMDs:DReply
Joking aside, I wonder how the ruling about OLED tech with Samsung will affect OLED's general pricing. A bit of a left-field comment, but I think it matters in the context of the review itself? I think?
Anyway, nice review! Thanks a lot.
Regards.
