The keyboard on the C64 Mini is purely decorative and may be a nightmare to keep dust-free, but it really looks the part, and is roughly half the size of the original C64 keyboard. A host of modern tech lets you connect to your TV via HDMI and can play retro-style games in 720p resolution in pixel-perfect or original 4:3 aspect ratios. You can add scanlines (CRT filter) if you want to replicate the classic look. You can now even save your progress in one of four save-game slots per game, and return at any time, or even play games you own via a USB flash drive with disc, cartridge, and cassette ROM file compatibility.

This is the future of gaming if AI gets its way for a couple of more years. Playing on old hardware will be the norm if this AI induced madness continues.

I started on the Vic-20. My raspberry pi does more than my first hand built computer and it plays PS 1 games. PS3 emulation is doing fine. Pretty soon we will be able to play Tomb Raider games that comes close to the modern reboots in terms of release dates. Most of the post TR 1-6 games made it to the PS3 so if PS3 emulation really takes off on the raspberry pi we could all be playing our games on the pi instead.

I am ok with this. I have no desire to pay 1500 pounds for a stick of memory. I would rather give up computing.
