If you're a gamer who enjoys playing Massively Multiplayer Online Role Playing Games (MMORPG - MMO for short), you likely already have a mouse equipped with plenty of programmable buttons. But what if there’s a 16-button mouse ideal for MMO gaming that also functions as a virtual Elgato Stream Deck? Well, good news, the Corsair Scimitar Elite SE wireless does both and is currently on sale at Amazon for just $79.99, with a massive $60 off the $139.99 list price, and just $10 above its lowest ever price.
Corsair’s newest Scimitar Elite SE wireless mouse appears nearly identical to its predecessor, the Scimitar Elite Wireless, aside from minor adjustments in color options, though its internal components have received modest enhancements. A new sensor and improved battery life enable the Scimitar Elite SE to feature a 33,000 DPI, a top speed of 750 IPS, and support for up to 50 G's of acceleration, powered by The Corsair Marksman S 33K optical sensor now Included. The enhanced battery now extends your gaming sessions between charges, offering up to 150 hours on 2.4GHz wireless and up to 500 hours via Bluetooth.
The Corsair Scimitar Elite SE is a reliable mouse that feels noticeably heavier than the ultralight FPS mice designed for esports. The Scimitar features 16 programmable buttons: 12 on the side panel, the left and right primary mouse buttons, a DPI switch button above the scroll wheel, and the center click of the scroll wheel. You can assign any of these buttons to your preferred functions via Corsair ICUE software. Another key feature of this mouse is its native support for Elgato Stream Deck, along with compatibility with Elgato’s new Virtual Stream Deck software. So you can take advantage of the many buttons on the mouse. This feature only makes sense if you're already committed to the Elgato ecosystem, though.
The Corsair Scimitar Elite SE wireless mouse offers 16 programmable buttons, with 12 positioned along the side panel, the standard left and right click buttons, a DPI toggle button above the scroll wheel, and the scroll wheel itself Wheel's middle click. You can adjust the 12-button side panel to match your hand size, and the mouse includes built-in support for Elgato's Stream Deck software.
The 12-button side panel on the Scimitar can be shifted slightly forward or backward by about 1/4 inch, allowing you to align the buttons with your thumb for more comfortable use and reduced hand strain. To shift the panel, you loosen the screw with the included hex key, reposition the buttons to your preferred spot, and then secure the screw again.
