We liked the Lenovo Pro 7i Gen 10 in our review; one of the device's biggest perks is its all-aluminum construction, which gives the device a premium feel over most of its competitors that use plastic. We found that performance was decent out-of-the-box, but we discovered that turning the laptop to performance mode really helped boost gaming performance to match its competitors, such as the ROG Strix Scar 16 and Gigabyte Aorus Master 16.

We also found that the laptop's built-in keyboard provides excellent tactile feedback for typists and gamers and lacks any mushy feedback that is so common in cheap membrane keyboards. For example, our reviewer was able to achieve 116 words per minute without making a single error.

If you are a fan of RGB lighting, the Lenovo Pro 7i Gen 10 has one of the most customizable RGB lighting setups of any laptop device we have tested so far. The rear exhaust ports behind the display have 18 different lighting zones that can be customized individually.

The Lenovo Legion 7i Gen 10 also has excellent upgradability; the internal 99WHr battery, M.2 WiFi card, and two SODIMM memory DIMMs can all be upgraded and/or replaced. The laptop also boasts two M.2 slots that are user accessible for adding or upgrading the device's included 1TB SSD.
